Artificial intelligence (AI) is finding its way into an ever-expanding array of workflows, enhancing our personal and professional lives with its versatility and adaptability.
In my own experience as an educator, I have witnessed the transformative impact AI agents can have on the traditional processes of education and personal productivity.
For instance, I utilize an AI agent to assist in the creation of student progress reports. By feeding the system a comprehensive text document containing my past semester’s student comments, I can then generate updated comment report cards by effortlessly inputting key phrases like “disruptive,” “puts in effort,” or “faces challenges in algebra.” The AI then expands upon these phrases, crafting nuanced narratives that closely mimic my own writing style. This approach not only saves time but also guarantees consistency in communicating student performance.
This is the exact prompt I used:
“I have attached students previous month progress report, I want you to emulate the style of writing and language used so it appears like I have written it. You will be helping me update the students progress, so it must consistent with my prior months. I will give you the students name and some elements of his progress and you will redact the comment card. Never use the word commendable use a simpler synonym instead.”
Another example of using AI agents comes when I am writing copy. In order to maintain and emulate my distinct voice in the writing tasks I give AI, I have trained another AI agent using examples of my writing. This custom-tailored AI can then generate text that mirrors my style, allowing for a seamless extension of my personal brand. When the output isn’t quite right, I intervene manually, make the necessary adjustments, and feed them back into the data training. So, what I do is ask the AI to compare my final version with its previous version, and using the differences the AI has identified, I update the prompt itself. This iterative process not only refines the AI’s performance but also sharpens my own skills by highlighting the nuances in my writing.
Another example that amazed me is when I developed an AI to assist me in my Spanish learning journey. I assigned unique personalities to these agents, like my Spanish-speaking AI named “Juan,” who has a passion for fitness and sports. This not only enhances the language practice experience but also keeps the learning process exciting and connected to my personal interests.
And the list goes on and on. I create custom bots with their own personalities and backgrounds for multiple tasks. Whether it’s obtaining financial advice, finding motivation, or receiving sports coaching, AI agents customized to my preferences and goals have become indispensable. These virtual dream teams not only assist me but also contribute to refining my thinking and decision-making processes!
